Dear Fellow Students and Friends,
Pooh’s Team and I would like to express our congratulations to Mr. Philip S, Lee, Vice President of the Winnipeg Chinese Cultural and Community Centre, for having been named as Manitoba 24th Lieutenant-Governor by Prime Minister Stephen Harper. Mr. Lee swearing-in ceremony will be held on Aug 4. This honour will be shared amongst all Chinese communities across Canada.
Last month it was my pleasure to meet with Mr. and Mrs. Philip Lee at the Sheraton Parkway Hotel to discuss the agenda of the upcoming Charity Line Dancing Workshop to be held in Winnipeg. I wish to thank Dr. Joseph Du, President of the Winnipeg Chinese Cultural and Community Centre, for inviting me to join and lead in this line dancing workshop. This workshop is one of the major events as part of the 100th birthday celebration of Winnipeg China Town - sharing our line dancing experience and enhancing relationships. We will work together in the near future to seek opportunity to start line dancing classes at their Cultural Centre in Winnipeg, which may be taught by our student Helen Yee.
Summer classes(a total of 53) in July and August have started; instructors and students are now enjoying themselves in these lessons.
